ABOUT ACE BACKSTAGE CO., INC.
ACE BACKSTAGE CO., INC. Super Stage Pocket Installation Guide provides step-by-step instructions on installing ACE Super Stage Pockets in Concrete Floor as well as Wood Floor. The Super Stage Pocket Installation process is the same for the Super and Super Double Wide Stage Pockets with the exception of the cutout dimensions on the floor or stage. Use the Pocket Installation Guide as a reference to help you install ACE's variety of Stage Pockets.

NOTE: All necessary hardware is included to install ACE's Stage Pocket Body Back Boxes, Trim Bezel Mounting Flanges and Lid Assemblies. Note that ACE's Super Stage Pocket Installation Guide may be viewed as a movie or downloaded as a PDF file. All Dimensions are for reference only.

SUPER STAGE POCKET INSTALLATION FOR CONCRETE
STEP 1
Step 1A A. Locate where each Super Pocket will be installed. Download the Super Stage Pocket Cutout Template.
Step 1B B. Remove the Super Pocket Body disposable cover and install conduit on any side of the Back Box via combination knock-outs, in accordance with local codes.
Step 1C C. Secure the Body to reinforcing bars, mesh, or otherwise to assure it is fixed below the finished surface floor to account for any height offset.
STEP 2
Step 2A Prepare the Super Pocket Body for the concrete pour. Grease the inside edge of the disposable cover as well as the small lip of the secured back box body and reattached the cover with the provided screws. Tape and grease all outer seams. Pour concrete.
STEP 3
Step 3A After the concrete is set, remove the disposable cover to complete the connector termination and panel installation. Reattach the disposable cover to protect the connections inside and save the installation of the Mounting Flange and Lid for the completion phase after the stage floor has been finished.
STEP 4
Step 4A With the stage floor finished, complete the above-floor pocket installation.

A. Secure the Lid and Mounting Flange to the Super Pocket Body Back Box by aligning the screw holes in the Mounting Flange with the screw holes in the lip of the installed Super Pocket Body.
Step 4B B. When installing into a finished carpet stage, be sure to cut the carpet using the INSIDE dimensions of the Mounting Flange to allow the carpet to be "sandwiched" between the carpeted floor and Mounting Flange. Avoid screws pulling "runners" in the carpet by using a hot soldering iron to burn a screw hole in the carpet before driving the flange screws. Trim and glue the carpet piece onto an optional Carpet Lid (132CLBK) using carpet contact cement (not included).

SUPER STAGE POCKET INSTALLATION FOR WOOD
STEP 1
Step 1A Locate where each Super Pocket will be installed. Download the Super Stage Pocket Cutout Template and use it to guide your exact floor cutout. Place the pocket between floor joists if possible.
STEP 2
Step 2A A. Secure the Super Pocket Body (Back Box) to the wood floor framing, floor joist, or otherwise.
Step 2B B. Provide support for the Super Pocket Body equal to the floor loading requirements.
Step 2C C. Verify that the Super Pocket Body is fixed below the floor to account for any height offset required for the finished floor and that the Super Pocket Body is indexed correctly (see instructional sticker on the Super Pocket Body)
STEP 3
Step 3A A. Once the Super Pocket Body is secured, you can easily connect conduit on any side of the Back Box via combination knock-outs, in accordance with local codes.
Step 3B B. Complete the panel and connector installation and other terminations.
Step 3C C. Replace the protective temporary Back Box cover until the finished floor is complete and ready for final above-stage-floor installation of the Super Pocket Mounting Flange and Lid.

Step 4B B. When installing into a raised carpet floor, be sure to cut the carpet using the INSIDE dimensions of the Mounting Flange to allow the carpet to be "sandwiched" between the carpeted floor and Mounting Flange. Avoid screws pulling "runners" in the carpet by using a hot soldering iron to burn a screw hole in the carpet before driving the flange screws. Trim and glue the carpet piece onto an optional Carpet Lid (132CLBK) using carpet contact cement (not included).
