CONNECTORS

"CONNECTRIX" Connectors
CONNECTRIX

Stock CONNECTRIX CONNECTORS utilize Neutrik® “D” mounting hole pattern for greater flexibility.

Stock CONNECTRIX System Connectors may be used in any stock CONNECTRIX System Panel(s). Utilizing the popular mounting pattern of Neutrik® “D” Series connectors with a generous rectangular cutout produces a growing array of adapter-mounted CONNECTRIX connectors. The adapter mount is plastic and provides ground isolation between the panel and connector. The current selection of stock CONNECTRIX system connectors is constantly changing, so please check out our current product information.

When ordering, please specify connector model number and type of connector as well as panel model number (#MP-100, #PNL-100, #PNL-120, or #PNL-140 Series Panels) the connectors will be loaded into. Connectors are loaded into panels using black, aluminum pop rivets. You may also choose to have your connectors loaded with removable machine screws and locking nuts, for a nominal fee. *NOTE: Specific High Density (HD) and Sub-D pattern connectors will require either 2 or 3 CONNECTRIX Horizontal Spaces or 2 or 3 CONNECTRIX Vertical Spaces, depending on connectors selected.

CUSTOM PANEL MATERIALS & SPECIFICATIONS

Made to order Custom Panels may be created from Aluminum, Acrylic, and Plastic Laminate materials. Custom Panels are available in sizes up to 24" W x 36" L with multi-panel ganged machined operations providing scaled economies and the lowest panel cost. ACE can provide a complete professional finished panel resource for all your custom panel design installation needs. Call the ACE Custom Order Desk at 661-295-5760 for more detailed panel information and specifications or email custom@acebackstage.com.

ALUMINUM ALLOY SHEET: Aluminum alloy sheet stock can be cut, black powder coated and engraved for almost any panel requirement. This alloy (6061-T6) is very ridged and flat and stocked in 1/16" and 1/8" thickness'. Smaller panels are typically made from 1/16" aluminum. Larger panels (e.g. rack panels) are cut from 1/8" aluminum. Other thickness' are available on a custom order basis. Currently the CONNECTRIX system pocket panels, rack panels, and wall panels are fabricated from this tough aluminum alloy.

ACRYLIC SHEET: Acrylic sheet stock is an excellent panel material. At 3/16" thick it is very flat and ridged, ideal for mounting large multi-pin connectors that require a heavy push/pull for engagement. It provides electrical isolation for connectors with grounded shells typical of many audio and video applications. This acrylic has a glossy black finish which is easily engraved and back filled with white acrylic paint for an upscale, hi-tech appearance. Alternately, use the acrylic panel as a sub-panel and engrave a plastic laminant over lay panel for nomenclature call outs.

PLASTIC LAMINANT SHEET: Plastic Laminant sheet stock is used for engraved over lay panel. This material is 1/16" thick and provides an opaque engraveable laminated surface over a contrasting sub-surface (e.g. black over white). For example, when using a standard high density cutout panel, (CONNECTRIX Panel #PNL-1425, see page 9) where some cutouts are not populated, an over lay panel can be cut and engraved showing only the positions used and covering unused positions. Many colors and combinations of front and reverse engraveable stock are available on request. Other uses include signs, operating instructions, block diagrams etc. for a permanent professional presentation on any project.
